" The news media are the bringers of bad news and it’s not entirely the media’s fault – bad news gets higher ratings and sells more newspapers than good news."

Berkeley Media Training
About us

Few companies can bring together sound public relations expertise and solid journalistic experience. It is the fusion of these two disciplines that enables Berkeley Media Training to tailor your media skills to fit the needs of your business.

As CEO of the Berkeley Communications Group Chris Hewitt also oversees Berkeley Media Training. Over the last 17 years, he has delivered a unique brand of media training to senior managers and board directors of both large and small businesses and helped many develop a real sense of confidence when dealing with the media.

Prior to entering the world of PR in the mid-1980s, Chris was a reporter for an international news agency. Having started his working life as a sports journalist, he went on to become a contributor to a variety of consumer, trade and national newspapers on subjects as diverse as general news, golf, travel, tourism, business and technology.

Today Chris spends much of his time coaching and mentoring individuals and groups. He has produced a series of training workshops designed to be fun, memorable and above all useful. These help businesses develop their corporate messaging from scratch, through to delivery and the best possible outcome.
